The much-anticipated WordCamp Porto is set to take place on May 17th and 18th, marking it as the largest WordPress-dedicated event in Portugal for the year 2024. With an expected attendance of over 300 community members, including programmers, designers, content managers, editors, bloggers, and enthusiasts, the event promises to be a melting pot of WordPress expertise, regardless of one’s familiarity with the platform.
Organizers are thrilled to unveil a comprehensive program featuring a diverse array of lectures and workshops. Here’s an exciting twist – you could be one of the speakers at this year’s WordCamp Porto! Speaker applications are officially open, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to share their insights gained as avid WordPress users.
Whether you prefer portuguese, english, galician or spanish, presentations can take on various formats: Lightning Talks (10 minutes), Standard Talks (25 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A), or even Workshops lasting 2-4 hours. The organizing team is particularly keen on receiving proposals that reflect the diversity of the community, inspiring stories, and welcomes speakers of all experience levels.
Remember, you don’t need to be a professional speaker; any inspiring idea related to WordPress is welcome. WordCamp Porto is a community-driven event, and your input is essential!
Speaker applications will be accepted until March 2nd. Successful applicants will not only earn themselves a ticket to WordCamp Porto but will also gain access to a special dinner event alongside fellow speakers, sponsors, and organizers.
